How It All Started...
Born and raised in the pacific northwest, my love of fishing started at the young age of five. On the bank of the McKenzie River in my hometown of Eugene, OR, both my father and grandfather taught me the basics that forever sculpted an everlasting love, and appreciation for the outdoors.
Those experiences on the river at such a young age propelled me into a lifelong passion of guiding. It is that passion that drives me to provide the best experience possible for each and every one of my clients. Whether it's a client's first time or fiftieth time on the water, I strive for an impactful experience each and every time.
My Story
I'm proud to be a sixth generation Oregonian who's family came out in 1843 on the Oregon Trail. Establishing our roots here, we were some of the original trail blazers and I can truly say the Pacific Northwest is in my blood.
From catching my first trout at age five to hundreds of fish over the years, the passion has never dwindled, so in 2015 I made it official, launched my guiding business, and set out to inspire that passion in others.
A Navy veteran, I enlisted fifteen days after 9/11/2001 and served as a Top Side P/O in the Arresting Gear division from '01-'08. As a 2nd Class Petty Officer I ran a crew of ten men onboard the USS Carl Vinson from '01-'07 and later transferred to the USS Abraham Lincoln where I served from '07-'08. In 2010 I met the love of my life and courted her until she married me in July of 2014.
Fast forward to today, Bethany and our two children enjoy fishing right alongside me from the drift boat or sled. I consider myself a truly blessed man to have them as my anchors at home and a business that fuels my purpose.
